Prescription toenail fungus treatment may be necessary, working from the inside to attack and eliminate the cause of the fungus. Other medical measures may be needed, such as laser or other surgical methods. Before deciding on any extreme measures, try some of the simpler methods of toenail fungus treatment available.
Keep your feet dry, wearing moisture absorbing socks. Inserts in the shoes to absorb moisture will also help to keep your feet dry. The less moisture the feet are exposed to the easier the fungus will be to treat and eliminate. Whatever toenail fungus treatment you embark on, once the problem is cleared up, preventative measures should be taken to keep the fungus from coming back.
